Our Story
Pascale, a vet, breeder and passionate rider, has been running the Haras de Montmarcé for some twenty years. Originally a partnership with her ex-husband, she has now been joined by their son Clément, the driving force behind this new website. Horse health is at the heart of her work: Pascale practiced as an exclusively equine vet for around ten years in the South of France, where the breeding programme was first established.
Focused on warmblood lines — Anglo-Arabs and Thoroughbreds — the breeding programme began at Pompadour with the purchase of Maya du Figuier (AA, by Amphitrion out of Gambie). Her daughter JAYA d'OR delivered one of the stud's earliest podiums, in the Foals category and again as a 3-year-old. The herd grew with Thoroughbred and Anglo-Arab broodmares, and the journey now continues in Normandy, where Pascale has taken on the training of flat racehorses. Throughout the blog, she shares her experience and the latest insights into horse health and well-being.
